ReplyDeleteI find it Lenin really interesting as the founder of the communist party. It is weird to think that he helped Stalin rise to power. I liked how you added that Lenin lead the Bolshevists party. It is interesting teat he was spreading the ideas of revolution as he was becoming a dictator. It is also impressive that he was able to create a whole new economic set up using capitalism and socialism. It is also really sad to read about things like the Red terror but it is good you included them so we could better understand the type of person he was. I find it most interesting and also very creepy that his body is still viewable in a museum to this day.
ReplyDeleteI think this blog is set up well and the information is easy to see and grasp. Its interesting how a party that most of the population despised thrived. Its weird how they thought of their leaders like gods and its crazy that lenin got shot. I didn't know that Lenin's body is still preserved I find that really weird and I don't understand why anyone would do that. I also never knew that he was exiled twice. I also cant believe that he killed so many peopl just to make sure there wasn't any opposers to his party.
ReplyDeleteI find it helpful how you wrote information of Lenin's early life rather then going right into his career and leadership. I find it very interest how he was the first head of the soviet state and its amazing to think how he was a part of beginning of everything. Its amazing how even after being expelled from his school and being arrested he was able to become a dictator. I found it amazing how he was able to eliminate his rival parties for his success to strive. I find it interesting because you can see that same sort of tactics used with Stalin. Creating a new political system and reconstructing the economy showed to what lengths he had to go to in order to improve.
ReplyDeleteIts amazing that Lenin just wanted to be a lawyer when he was younger, but then ended up being one of the founders of Communist Russia. I always think that it is really interesting to see the roots and beginnings of these huge political and military leaders like Lenin. He got expelled from school as a kid, and although at the time was probably an awful experience for him, it helped lead to him being a very important leader in the Russian Revolution (although there are many events in between obviously). Although we don't associate death and torture with Lenin as much as we do with Stalin, its amazing that Lenin was still responsible for many mass killings and torture to those who opposed him so that he could get rid of them. Its actually very similar to Stalin's style of ruling. Great blog, nice job.
ReplyDeleteI found it pretty interesting that Lenin was exiled to Siberia for 3 years. I learned that he wanted to start a revolution that would lead to the Socialist Revolution. I thought it was interesting that he was exiled again during WWI in Switzerland. I learned that Lenin and his followers started an independent party called the Bolshevists. It's really interesting that he survived a bullet wound during a failed assassination. I liked how organized your blog was with sections, bullet points, and pictures.
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog Katie, I like how your blog was laid out. The pictures and bullet points helped me learn so much about Vladimir Lenin. Its funny how Lenin wanted to be a normal person when he was younger, and ended up helping found communist Russia.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that Lenin was the first head of the soviet state and started the movements for a revolution and the communist party. I didn't know that he had been exiled to Siberia and had been trying to start communist movements long before he succeeded in creating a revolution. It's interesting that Lenin paved the way for Stalin to gain absolute control over Russia. I didn't know that Lenin was also a ruthless ruler who had some mass killings just like Stalin will have.
